It’s probably crazy to start predicting linear trends from a single data point, but I get a sense that Palin will be the center of gravity of American politics for the next 12 years. John McCain just made himself a placeholder for the 2012 election.

As “American as mothers and apple pie” is more than a trite expression. When the Olbermanns and the other cheap shot artists start on her I suspect there will be a visceral reaction that may shock more than a few MSM executives back to earth. The Obamatons must be getting these vibes, too. Interesting to see the initial reaction. Polite smiles and faint praise is my guess.
