RAH, you’re right about Romney but you are wildly ignoring the politics that would devastate the two of them. You can try to stay above it as much as possible but only fools ignore the politics.

Whiskey, by and large, is right but this is the year for a white female in the V.P. slot. What everyone insists on forgetting is that this is a weird year. When BHO gets this close to the Presidency, concerns about lack of experience in the V.P. slot are absolutely irrelevant.

Sarah Palin is the smart pick. Fine, she’ll go back to being the traditional V.P. More a placeholder than Dick Cheney. Fine. She’s solid, attractive, not goofy, and the mother of five with a young son in the Army. Remember the politics. I hope John McCain does.
