I see little compelling evidence to suggest optimism for the fate of our nation or the advancement of personal liberty. The simple fact that Obama has gone this far without any meaningful opposition from within the Democrat Party and without any meaningful scrutiny from the so called free press speaks for itself.

How does a 47 year old man who self describes as a “community organizer” get this close to the Presidency without even a murmur of public discussion about what a community organizer actually is, or what this particular community organizer actually did during his adult life?

Obama had primary responsiblity for distributing $100 million as the director of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge but only one individual, Stanley Kurtz, has even exhibited any curiosity about where that money went. Would not the history of how Obama exercised his responsibility spending that much money be perhaps the best single indicator of how how he might exercise his executive responsibily as POTUS?

We know nothing about this person. Nothing. And nobody with the means to find out and tell us cares a whit. Kurtz’s investigation will be ignored and the man pilloried. Two years into an Obama term and he will be prosecuted for hate speech a la the Canadian “Human Rights” Commissions.

Maybe I’ve read too much Dostoyevsky and Solzhenitsyn. The human spirit may be inextinguishable but it still gets crushed by the machine.
