Maybe it’s just because I’m trapped in Obamaland here in the West but I see nothing but a ground swell of enthusiasm for this guy….who says absolutely nothing!

Obama has a lot of support. Check the polls and the prediction markets. The support may be irrational, he may be a fad, there may be regrets later on. But for the moment the hard fact is that Obama will get a lot of votes. People eventually hated Jimmy Carter. But they voted for him first.

And there’s a lot invested in Obama. Fortunes, political and otherwise, are riding on his accession to power. Those who have bought into him will not idly aside and watch their stake turn to ashes. This is a fight to the finish and Obama will turn the knife however he needs to in order to grasp power. His critics have already learned that. Nothing must stand in his way.
