I’m sort of late to this topic and I’m not through reading all of the above. I don’t want to latch on to any allegation that is not substantiated by solid fact. So, I’m with wretchard on that one. For the record (as most of you know) I am not an Obama supporter. I have nothing personal against the guy and have no axe to grind. I want to be fair to the guy; I don’t like piling on, which can backfire on you, as well as unjustly ruin a person’s reputation.

I don’t like the way he hides certain aspects of his intellectual formation, his ideological allegiance, and some of the people in his life. Not when the disclosure of these things go a long way towards answering the question, “Who is this guy?”

To my satisfaction, what I have gleaned about his background convinces me that he is NOT a Muslim and that Islam is not the most important influence in his life. The most important influences in his life are those ideas which animated the ambitions and projects of: his mother, his biological father, his mentor when he was a teenager, some of his college professors, and Rev. Wright.

There is enough there to convince me that he is not fit to uphold the Constitution and be the commander in chief of our armed forces. The voters of Illinois did think he was fit to represent their interests in the U.S. Senate. But that job is a far cry from the one he now aspires to.
