RE Voltimand [...] led me to do an author search on Obama on “HEIN Online” which is the standard legal internet archive of all U.S. and some foreign law reviews. Searching Obama’s name turned up exactly no articles attributed to him by name. His name appears in a couple of footnotes as someone who gave the author some “good advice,” but that is all. [...]

Agree; and all I found about his scholarly abilities showed during his tenure at Harvard Law Review is that he was a guy who “listened” (when not busy building bridges). And we can go even further, at his distinguished 6 years tenure at Chicago Law. How many articles/papers did he write during his tenure? Per Lexis-Nexis: two entries JUST TWO entries mentioning his name. Wow!
Questions:
1) How many applicants for a Chicago Law position the school has normally, any year? What qualifications do they look for? How high Obama was on the list in the year when accepted there?
2) What is the average of papers/articles a Chicago Law professor writes any given year?
