Now we are in August 2008, and the election will be in about ten weeks.

Obama is a graduate of Harvard Law School. He has been a state senator, and now his a US senator. He has been traveling all around the USA for the past couple of years giving speeches and answering questions about his political opinions. He is the Democratic Party’s nominee to become the President of the United States.

And in this dire situtation, a lot of Republicans are determined to squander the remaining time, to squander millions of advertising dollars and to squander the public’s rare, full attention to political issues by whining that Obama’s denunciations of Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan are insufficient, by insinuating that Obama is a secret Black Panther.

I’m one Republican who thinks that all this squandering of time, money and political attention is stupid. I’m one Republican who thinks that the Republican Party better get serious really fast about arguing the merits of the major issues.
