Obama’s strategy wrt Iraq is easy — when it was hard he was ready to cut &run, now its better he’s willing to give it a shot. IOW its a “which way the wind blows”, get out in front approach. Seen that way he’s coherent.

It’s just nothing that resembles actual ‘leadership’ in the slightest.

And he can maneuver in this framework with*out* ever saying he was wrong before. The cheat, that will hopefully not fool too many left-leaning war supporters (there are some), is that his previous position –quit when the going gets tough– will never turn anything around, as Bush did.
