My wife and I are both on the no-fly list. We’re both fifth generation Texan, grew up in small towns, are retired military and currently hold special identifier security clearances above TS. We have very common American names, we’re white, 64 and still have Texas accents. We do get to fly, but we get inspected more than other passengers.

We haven’t tried to get off the list, because we supect it would be an endless hassle and only serve to alert incompetent bureaucrats to our names and make it more difficult for us to fly.

The no-fly list protects no one.
