That may not be his only connection to part of the University’s less positive history. Chicago is always sensitive to people who get to tightly wrapped up in messianic superiority fantasies. This was the home of Leopold and Loeb and for years afterwards students believed the University Library hid the Nietzche volumes. Note that everyone involved in that crime lived in the same small neighborhood of Kenwood where Obama now lives.
