I am a professional academic, approaching retirement, in one of the “better” liberal arts colleges. It greatly pains me to say that Paul has spoken the simple truth. The corruption in the academy (outside of the hard sciences)is profound. There are a few islands of sanity in the humanities and social sciences in any school, but on the whole, the damage is massive and largely irredeemable. The left clones itself and every generation is more radical. This will continue until the public demands change, but the public by and large has neither the wit to know the disease nor the desire to treat it.
