I had a friend whom I have not talked to in years. He is a physicist whose career was in futurism. I did some work for him when he had a small consulting company in DC.
He drove a Jag. He told me that people should not drive autos but should take public transportation. I asked him why he did not. He said “I am too important to waste my time”. He had family wealth and is from an old American Yankee family. He had Puritan values.
Since I was his friend I could drive my car.
