Let’s try and keep the discussion civil. I don’t think much purpose is served by describing Islam per se as evil. I think evil is as evil does. Right now there are lots of dysfunctional memes that have grown not only out of Islam but out of the Western tradition as well, such as totalitarian communism. And the totalitarian impulses whatever their lineage are I think intertwining in the interests of their own memetic survival. I think that before this crisis is over, and it has scarcely begun, that we will have changed our definition of friend and foe several times over. This is about good and evil, though Boris scoffs at the idea, but not in the way he imagines.
