Until very recently, child mortality rates were incredibly high in all country’s. Mortality in child birth was likewise very high. Large families are the result of the stark realities of a low expectation of children living beyond twelve years of age and the relatively high rate at which fertile females would die in childbirth, often along with the child. Throughout history the success of certain human lines in certain climates has been dependent on adjusting to virus, flu and other pox upon our collective human house. Medical science itself possibly has more to do with the rise and subsequent fall in fertility rates than a good economy itself, but economic health and the health care available due to successful economic systems should result in fewer fetus among us. The lag between the gains made and the adjustment of social systems to benefit or incorporate those gains can I would hazard to guess take varying amounts of time to be incorporated into different societies.
So the question remains are Fertility and birth rates as used reliable measures of robust libidos? If so can they be used as a reliable statistic, indicative of a trend or is it a symptom of an abnormal or unhealthy adjustment?
I should I suppose next offer assist in further study. However, my wife thinks it would not be a wise or prudent thing to do, and thus, sigh, I will pass.
