Perhaps a sizable chunk of Europe could be turned into a series of sanctuaries for gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees, bonobos, baboons, et cetera. Considering how the tree habitats of Borneo and Central Africa are getting logged out of existence, these primates may need a new place to live. And given how politically correct it would be for European states to set aside large reserves for primates overseen by a bureaucracy in Brussels, I see this as a feasible possibility.

Given how the Spanish Parliament has conferred human rights to apes, I could easily see how Spain would insist on importing apes instead of Muslims on the basis of promoting (and celebrating) diversity. (So far, Moroccans in Spain vastly outnumber bonobos.) One question in my mind is whether any gorilla, orangutan, bonobo, or chimpanzee would be interested in voting in human elections, and who they would vote for if they were interested. It appears to me that nobody has ever asked the opinion of non-human primates about what they think of human politics.
