To complete the imagery, I was visualizing those cheap metal Japanese windup robots that we played with as kids, i.e. I’d wind one up and let it rattle around willy-nilly on a hardwood floor. The Gramscian windup robots were set into motion during the 1960-1970s by clever KGB Agit-Prop opertives. They represented a fifth column that was intended to make things easier for the Soviet invasion of Western Europe that was probably planned for the 1980-1990s. (Un)fortunately the Soviet Union imploded but the Gramscian windup robots are still running around following their pathetic program.
