I haven’t seen the data, or seen an explanation that defines it in those terms. It may be out there, but it is not readily available… Anyone help here?
Whether they are Democrat or Republican, politicians have now become a permanent class in the capital, existing along with a giant bureaucracy, operating the government for their own sake. Unless that is changed, they will simply continue to increasing until they bankrupt the country.

It's a story that you think may have actually happened in the real world. On the downside, the start is a little stilted and the author doesn't hit his pace until about 30 pages in but this is a quibble.
