It is true that “our” values and “theirs” often come in conflict, but generally they are not much worse than calvinists and puritans, even the pretty crazy ones. As for the argument of Hiroshima proving nukes to be safe, I would point you to the radius of that one blast. If you are going to set up a nuclear contamination zone from Pakistan to Kabul I do imagine the fallout may be a little greater, no?
