Habu, I think the US Army and especially the USMC would have a few things to say about your scenario. There is a reason not all our armed forces are overseas. Then you have all the ex-military cilivians, not to mention most of the population of rural America with their guns. Order would be restored in short order and a can of serious whoop ass would be opened on Mexico. In the first Mexican-American War we allowed them to keep their country, minus some real estate.
