eggplant @ 49: Today, the Bernank seemed to indicate that the money printing will end in June. Are people assuming this is a lie and that money printing as QE3 will continue?

The Bernank is walking a tightrope.

The Chinese want him to buy all their bonds, before the inflation hits and renders them worthless. The Bernank doesn’t want to do that. That’s why he’s announcing the end to purchases. Yet if and when he stops – who knows. And the Chinese can certainly unload them onto the fed through back doors, if the fed tries to keep purchasing on the QT.
