However I often wonder why we take wars that our night could dictate the outcome of in three days and turn them into protracted conflicts

Is ther an unwritten rule somewhere that we can’t use tactical nuclear artillery shells or some of the smaller H-bombs? Smaller H-bomb? Oxymoron, however in terrain such as the desert in Gulf I we could have easily used a few and sent a very powerful message.

Is there doubt in anyone’s mind that eventually the AQ and other bad guys will get the BOMB and not hesitate to use it on us? I mean is there really anyone out there who believes that for the next 20 years we can sequester the bomb from the bad guys?
