We’re past the point of no return. There will be no going back to the Constitutional United States of America without revolution – and by that I mean revolutionary return to the laws (Declaration of Independence and Constitution) of our original American Revolution.
Our second revolution occurred in the 1930′s – the “New Deal.” The New Deal was a Socialist American Revolution – and it has been an un-American disaster. The mess we are in now is a direct result of American Socialism – elite leadership without the informed consent of the governed. Unjust government power now resides in Washington, D.C.; and, make no mistake, tyrannical power is on the way – since American Marxist/Leftists are preparing laws to revoke freedom of speech in the guise of “hate speech” laws and “fairness doctrines;” and now Barak Obama wants to shut down radio and TV stations which broadcast messages with which he disagrees.

“There are those who still think they are holding the pass against a revolution that may be coming up the road. But they are gazing in the wrong direction. The revolution is behind them. It went by in the Night of Depression, singing songs to freedom. So it was that a revolution took place within the form. Like the hagfish, the New Deal entered the old form and devoured its meaning from within. The revolutionaries were inside; the defenders were outside. A government that had been supported by the people and so controlled by the people became one that supported the people and so controlled them….. In the welfare state the government undertakes to see to it that the individual shall be housed and clothed and fed according to a statistical social standard, and that he shall be properly employed and entertained, and in consideration for this security the individual accepts in place of entire freedom a status and a number and submits his life to be minded and directed by an all-responsible government.” Garet Garett

We’re need a third American Revolution to restore the first. This could happen through grassroots revolt, which would might be violent; and might (widespread revolt) or might not (piecemeal revolt) be successful.
I believe the best chance for a third American Revolution is for a majority of Governors (with support of their State Legislatures) to revolt against the un-Constitutional power of the Federal Government, and that would take in the people under the umbrella of those states. Individuals acting alone can’t bring about our third American Revolution. The States must take what is rightfully theirs and the peoples, and that is the government power given them and us under the ninth and tenth amendments. After this first step other dominoes would fall into place. We could then amend our Constitution with term limits for Congress and Supreme Court Justices, and the amendment must also provide Congress with authority to override Supreme Court decisions which in effect hold law-creating power as well as veto power over Congressional legislation. Congress can override a Presidential veto, and Congress must also be able to do this with the Supreme Court. This Constitutional amendment will help return power to the people themselves – rightful owners of political power in the United States.
After our third American Revolution the people of the United States can rule themselves as the founders intended and initially instituted.

“The accounts of the United States ought to be, and may be made, as simple as those of a common farmer, and capable of being understood by common farmers.” Thomas Jefferson
“Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.” Thomas Jefferson
“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.” Thomas Jefferson

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” Abraham Lincoln
