Why oh why oh are the Democrats so dead set against new domestic energy? They block oil shale, offshore drilling, nuclear, coal-to-liquids, etc etc. Then they try this carbon cap’n'trade racket (Lieberman of all people!) that will just shut us down more.

Can’t they see why we need energy and how the world beyond the Beltway is going? Their explanations are so vacuous. Anyone read Markey’s (D-MA) latest? And he’s chairman of the House Energy Committee I understand.
