LOTM, I had the fleeting thought that day of signing up but of course it was out of the question.
My clearest memory was Friday night Sept. 14th, being at a high school football game and tears streaming down my face as they played the National Anthem. Two weeks later in a little church service in Southern Illinois, three girls sang a medley of “America the Beautiful”, “My Country Tis of Thee” and “God Bless America”. I was as moved all over again.
This is why we can’t elect Obama and the party of surrender. Too much is at stake.
