I know. But also the trouble was brewing for some time. Given that his job description expanded beyond the initial agreement, if I were in his shoes, I’d look for another environment where I would be able to do what I signed up for.

I was a teach too. But when my principal started to shove politics into our throats in excess of what was a tacit generally accepted nuisance level (Czechoslovakia, commie era, I were teaching at school for blind kids and almost all teachers there were political rejects and “renegades” or “reactionaries”), I simply got out.

OTOH, some people can’t handle kids well. My 1st X once tried to get a job in a kindergarten. She did quit after one day, the 4-5 yo “angels” made a hash of her in no time. She came home almost crying.
