During the last presidential campaign the “White House Press Corps” moved itself – nay, propelled itself, into the position of a toothless and closely-pedicured tiger. They did this on purpose by deliberately shying away from and refusing to illuminate any “controversy” pertaining to their preferred candidate. The result was entirely foreseeable.

Why should any administration – or even any citizen – fear them anymore? They are passe, foisted on a petard of their own construction. Good riddance, I say.

The only argument now should be centered on what replaces them. Btw, this could all change in 30 days if they went about their job properly again, but little chance of that. The Kool-Aid was too strong.
