As a professional technical communicator, I would have to say that the video is highly entertaining. It's amazing just how ignorant people can be with respect to "audience" and "purpose" (I mean, designing a pink sign for the female target audience and a blue sign for the male target audience? They could have gone with a more neutral color such as green, but that would be lost in the surrounding shrubbery, no doubt).

Anyway, fantastic example of just how technical communication can go so terribly wrong. I don't blame the poor designer for banging his head on his desk.

Having just today gone through the latest design review process for an advertising campaign, I have to say this is RIGHT ON! In fact the final stop sign looks remarkably like the final design for our latest advertisement in terms of color and layout. Now that's a real downer. F

Most organizations are in desperate need of having the old guy walk in and say "You're fired."
