By the way, Phyllis, I wish you had been the feminist at Cooper Union on April 8 with Tariq Ramadan instead of Joan Wallach Scott. She is my candidate for dhimmi of the month. She is the sort of ivory tower feminist who thinks that racism is a bigger problem than sexism. You could have skewered her argument that the burka debate is a veil to cover European racism. You are more knowledgeable than she about sexism in Islam, having experienced it yourself in Afghanistan as a young woman. I enjoy your articles on Bruce Bawer’s site. Thanks for sharing with us.
