In my mind helping the women in these countries IS part of the war on terrorism. But liberals don’t seem to think it’s worthy of war – they’d rather deny it exists. Maybe too many of them have killed their tvs as they’ve decided they are not intelligent enough to view news from many angles and decipher the truth for themselves.

When we infidels call out Islam for its oppression of women, the worst thing that can happen to us is to get killed for it. But when Muslims call out Islam for its oppression of women, the attendant risk to life is the least of their worries, or at least it pales in comparison to eternal damnation in hell as an apostate – regardless, mind you, of whether that comes after being killed for same, or after having lived to a ripe old age. They may escape the assassin’s blade, but there’s ultimately no escape from Allah’s judgment or wrath, or so Muslims have been brought up to believe and fear.

Never, ever underestimate the overriding incentives created by religious beliefs, particularly as they relate to one’s good standing in eternity. It’s one thing to risk your mortal life to stand up to evil; another thing altogether to risk your immortal soul.

I can’t help but agree.

The equality for women’s movement is gaining momentum albeit slowing. Fundamental Islam is so depressing, so destructive to humanity the same way Christianity became so full of death and destruction. The difference between both is Christianity’s period of enlightenment. Islam is yet to get even close. Brainwashing from birth works wonders in creating the monsters of tomorrow.

What about the brave Afghani girls who defied the Taliban by going to school? I imagine that they still have to do it covertly today in some places. And the brave women who risked horrific retribution to teach these girls? What can we do to help them?
