Thank you Phyllis — these vile aspects of the ‘religion of peace’ must be made widely known. As more and more truth about the nature of Islam and the appalling behaviour of its alleged ‘Prophet’ comes to the attention of the other four fifths of the world’s population, we’ll all be able to do something to put this darkness back in its coffin from the 7th century where it belongs.

What we can’t comprehend ( or prefer to deny) is that these are not illegal or unusual practices in Muslim societies. JPost has a video from Saudi Arabia explaining that nine is an appropriate age to begin having sex with a “wife”, their “prophet” provided them with the example.
We have to make such criminal acts immune from 1st amendment protection. I hope that we start by backing the state of Texas in the protection of the FDLS children. If they hide behind “religion” it totally opens the door for Muslims. There is no such thing as “plural marriage”. They simply breed any “open” females who are capable of reproduction. Our country will have to affirm that women are human beings with the right to pursue happiness, not chattel.

Here’s Random House’s very own statement:

I apologize for not being able to find the source but I recently read that the novel was pulled by the publisher because of the possible offense it might cause. I remember thinking at the time: Wow so now publishers are being threatened and censored by lobbyist/representatives of cultural groups over a NOVEL?

Both Obama and McCain should be questioned about these incidents. If the presidential candidates make statements, that will provide more publicity about these cases. As for Sania Bibi, she should be offered the possibility of asylum in the United States.
