Phylis you really are a rather silly woman – and having viewed your photograph, I don’t really think you are in a position to attack someone on a personal basis.

Even someone like Cyd Mizell is not safe. This should be a wake up call for the rest of us. The committed Islamic nihilists must be either killed or jailed. There is no other viable option. These thugs are comparable to rabid dogs that can no longer be allowed to reside in civilized society. A lot of blood will have to be shed in the next few years. We must select our political leaders primarily on this basis.

Thank you for reminding us of that truly laughable piece of propaganda, that the Iranian hostage taking was — as is everything else that’s wrong with this world — supposedly America’s fault.

The Western world is so much more than we Westerners give it credit for. We in America are constantly held to a standard that no other country is held to. Yet, when you compare the West in general and America in particular to that “Wild, Wild East” we are nothing less than a bastion of decency.

Thank you once again Dr. Chesler for reminding us of our inherent virtues — unfortunately, a rare message to be heard these days.

I have no idea how effective the government of Afghanistan can be in this case, but the fact that the government is looking for her is good news in itself. The United States did the right thing in overthrowing the Taliban and establishing the current government, weak though it may be.

The hostage taking is so revealing, psychologically. It is another instance of fusion with the other. It shows how utterly dependent they are on the “other” the kufar. I hope that this kind woman Syd Mizell is released as quickly as she was abducted. The prologue to this violent act can be found again and again in the terrible treatment of their own children who are to them like kufars – the other which exists for the sole purpose to be abused and discarded.

Another tragedy of evil. The West is so full of incredibly loving, peaceful people…who don’t understand that most of the world is not loving or peaceful and will eat them alive if they don’t temper their love with wisdom and discrimination.
“The only reason good people can sleep peacefully and safely in their beds at night is because somewhere, rough men with guns stand ready to do violence on their behalf”.
God help us this generation to find the strength and wisdom to recognize and fight evil or we will be wiped from the face of the earth and our great grandchildren will curse us as fools and cowards.
