Its a nice piece but Ahmadinejad will just get a big laugh out of it. You site lots of history to make your points. I don’t agree that he is mentally ill, he after all is being very successful pushing his agenda against apparently huge odds. But the odds of him getting thrown out of office due to outside forces are zero and no internal revolution will happen.
The Iranians, after the shah was ousted, accepted the culture of death. In the Iran Iraq war they offered parents about $14K if they sent a son to the war front and he died. They also threw in the usual several dozen virgins etc. Families packed their sons off by the 100 thousands. Do your really believe a population that does that objects to Ahmadinejad?
The Iraqi’s could not muster the courage to depose Sadam after his disastrous war with Iran, his disastrous occupation of Kuwait and the years of terrible living under the sanctions.
Just as the exiled Iraqi dissidents where just noise so are the exiled Iranians.
As long as Ahmadinejad makes no major blunder that brings in an invading army, he will be in power for a very long time.
