Michael: It is ironic that you are practicing the very thing you criticized in your own article. Can you explain to me why you deleted my reply to YBM’s comments, posted above? In my comments, I simply stated that YBM seemed less “educable” (to quote the very word that he used on me) and that to load one’s comments with fancy terms was not a sign of educability either. Obviously, the threshold of your tolerance to different voices is even lower than that of Beijing’s.
ML: I have no idea why your comment was not posted. Sometimes this blog asks me to “moderate” a comment, but many times that request gets routed to my old AEI email, which I don’t check more than once a week. Perhaps there is a time limit on “moderation.” Sorry.
Why should I be intolerant of people who take the time to discuss the issues I think important? I shouldn’t. And I didn’t. Sorry for the snafu.
The only thing I try to block is foul language and personal attacks; but substantive disagreements are great.
