Unlike Wayne who may not have read the Koran and not lived in that part of the world or Dr. Ledeen who has gathered his experise through rigorous academic research, I have read it and have lived in that part of the world. I am from “that” part of the world. So, Sharon, please don’t give me that garbage about women’s equality and the feminist paradise in which the Muslim women live in. They are subjugated, they are second class citizens and regarded by the male sex as their property. Their tradition of honor killing has followed them even to the west. Their tradition of female genital mutilation is practiced even to this day. Don’t believe me, ask Hirsi Ali. So, don’t think that having read the Koran allows you to pontificate about a fantasy that is non existant in the Muslim world. You may be able to fool the leftist ideologues, only because they are intellectually willing to be fooled, but your argument does not hold water with me or anyone who has experienced Islam first hand.
