“Sorry, Americans are how they are but do I have to admire them…?”
No.
We make no such demands on Germans or Germany. You can feel any way you please about us, as long as you don’t conquer other nations or carry out mass pogroms killing millions of people.
That we will NOT allow you to do, as long as we maintain a presence in Europe. Other than that, you can pretty much do as you please; which, I might add, is a lot better deal than people have gotten in the past in places where the Germans maintained a presence.
“But I strongly oppose the American way to save the world.”
Well, we’re not trying to save the world. We have a dispute with Iran because they attacked an American embassy in 1979 and kidnapped a bunch of Americans. In addition the Iranians back terror groups in the middle east that have murdered hundreds of American citizens. This has nothing to do with saving the world. It’s strictly an us against them thing.
We weren’t trying to save the world in the 1940s when we were bombing Germany into ruins either. You declared war on us…so, we fought you. End of story.
Save the world?
Spare me.
Not our job, man.
Here’s how the game’s played: You declare war on us, you murder our citizens, or you invade some country we don’t want you to invade (like Kuwait, for example) then there’s an excellent chance we’re going to open up a can of Yankee whupass on you. Admirable? Maybe not. But that’s the game, and anybody who don’t like it, don’t have to play.
P.S. You’re doing a good job of presenting your points, especially since it’s obvious that English isn’t your first language, but you really to need to learn more about the history of Iran, Iraq, and the international relations in that part of the world. Like most Europeans, you have an overly provincial education and outlook. This is why you make claims like “the new darling of the US was a man called Saddam” which are patently absurd.
No offense.
