We are most definitely at war with Iran. Afghanistan is the battleground
at the moment. I am a Marine of WWII vintage. What is happening in Afghanistan is
unconscionable. Men are called to combat unable to accomlish any
strategic objective. All that is happening is exposure of our military to injury
and death. The President sends more troops to Afghanistan but at the same time
assures the public that he will start withdrawal next year. Hence there can be no
significant strategic objectis and the enemy knows it. The President’s
incompetence blinds him to reality. He thinks he can have his cake and eat it too.
