Instead, he is willing to give the regime the room it needs to crush dissent, making ony what he deems appropriate noises about "the world standing as one" to condemn such harsh treatment. The sooner the better, in his mind; so that he will then be free to unleash the 'O' charm on Admadinejad, disarming the suspicious Islamic leader by apologizing for the sins of Eisenhower.
