I haven’t read your post above, Michael but It is 4:00 PM appx in Teheran as as I write. I’m trying to get info on unfolding events in Iran and there’s precious little on a Sunday but official speeches and releases. I wondered who I could complain to and I thought of my most reliable source of Info from there.

My big question: I agree that it is best that Obama not make a statement supporting the protests because it would backfire. But why aren’t ordinary Americans holding rallies in support of the protests. Most especially where are the feminist?

I don’t know what darkness will reveal in Teheran tonight. Will the day have strengthened the resolve of the protesters or dissipated it?

Effort must be made immediately to hearten the protesters, especially the women and to let them know they have the support of ordinary Americans.

For the record:
Most citizens Iran are of Indo-European origin, which means they’re as white as any other “whitey” who stepped off the Mayflower or any other “teeming refuge” scow to pull into port from the North Atlantic. Iranians are part of the Iranic linguistic group that occupies an area from western Turkey and going east to the Ostetias.
Now does that mean all Iranians are dead-ringers for the Swedes? Nope! The tides of history have washed over the Iranian plateau and deposited all sorts of goodies into the gene pool there, just like in Europe.
Now concerning the mullahs, and Iran in general. Even though he was a commie, and a tyrant, and an overall $hitstain on the jockey shorts of life, ol’ Joe Stalin did have a rather directness about him when dealing with situations such as this. He’d have given the mullahs a one-way ticket to Kaboomistan, then asked if anybody else had any issues to discuss with him.
Not that I’m saying this is the way to go, but I really do admire the simplicity of the solution.

Actually Iranians/Persians are ‘caucasian’. People that reside in the caucauses Mountains area. For centuries Persia was the crossroads of the old world. Traders, explorers and conquerors all came thru Persia, leaving their seed behind. Persians are very dark to very lightskined, with most being lighter skinned and better featured that most Arabs.
FYI. The LA Persian community is very tight knit hard working and absolutely HATE the mullahs and government of Iran. A large part of the community is Jewish and Christian, expelled in 1979 revolution.

Not too many of them actually voted , or voted against AmMadinJeHead out of hatred, just to get him out of office.

The aspect of race has virtually nothing to do with the elections IN Iran. However, it is a very important factor OUTSIDE of the country. The Obama administration considers Iranians as dark skinned victims of western imperialism. It therefore feels inhibited in taking to task Iran’s thuggish leadership. Does this sound irrational? Well, that’s the way it is. Political correctness damages the ability of those under its influence to think and follow a logical argument.

Do the majority of Iranians perceive themselves as caucasians? This is mildly interesting. But that’s not how the leftists of the West perceive the citizens of Iran. Please don’t blame me—I’m just the messenger.

Yesterday even before the news of Ahmadinejad’s win was released I declared in my blog that something funny was going on. Today it is even more evident that something really really funny is going on. Rafsanjani’s house is apparently surrounded by security forces. Let’s face it Rafsanjani has the most to lose here. His and his sons head is on the line. If there is any chance that this trend is going to be reversed, Rafsanjani will be the key player. Today is the day that the Islamic Republic officially transformed from a theocracy supported by Pasdaran to a Junta supported by a handful of clerics. Whether or not the mullahs who were apparently outraged by Ahmadinejad’s statements during televised debates sit on the sideline and watch remains to be seen. The people should not become pawns in this power game.

Well while we’re on the topic, Can a Muslim actually be an American? I grant you that being an American means different things to different people, we’re all hyphenated now, but you don’t see most diverse Americans dropping their secular values and allegiance to the secular state just to kill other Americans by going on the warpath on a mission from god. Or putting the question differently, Does it make any sense to be a Muslim, if you can’t act like a Muslim? Or, is being an American in the great multicultural melting pot meaningless at best, and a thought crime at worst?

Iranians are realizing now that they cannot rely on western ‘experts’ to pull out of the garbage rotting corpses of this regime, like UK Mousavi, after 25-years again and re-furbish them as’intellectuals’, re-paint them and shove them down the Iranian peoples’ throats.

Iranians are now realizing that the only way to genuine freedom is to topple the whole of this abominable regime:EU-backed “reformists” and KGB/PRC-backed “fundamentalists”, and All!

And to think that some people actually got excited about Mousavi and his backward wife is amazing. Or were they also humming along with that British tune? Shameful or ignorant, you pick.

Now, let’s all relax, sit back, and enjoy the next 4-years under Ahmadinejad – it’s gonna be a great show, Don’t Miss It!

Oh and on that L.A. thing, it was Fareed Zakaria who set the booths up – you know he gets bribes from the Iran regime, too. He also has dual citizenship:Pakistan, USA– Oh, sorry, he has triple citizenship:Pakistan, Britain(by providing his lap dog services to MI5 propaganda department), and US(by stupidtiy of US officials to grant him one)
