Perhaps you could dedicate a post to Cyrus the Great who freed the Jews from captivity after conquering Babylon and thus re emphasise that Iranians harbour no Jewish hatred in them but it is the Islamic Fundamentalists who take this stance. Iranians are a different race from the Arabs and all Iranians are proud of their unique cultural heritage.

Haaretz quoted Peres(?) the other day as saying that, with the Dreyfus Affair, Jews decided that nations and religions were the problem and they became communists, or that the Jews needed their own state and became Zionists. The first was an excessive reaction, in my view, to a hysterical old order dying. For an analogy, see Philadelphia Miss. and it’s first black mayor. Dreyfus couldn’t have been a soldier if his family wasn’t allowed into France’s business class. Rather than understanding this, Trotsky et al. ignited the flames of hell in Europe from potentially dying embers. The U.S is tougher; our alliance with you won’t be broken.

The disturbing growth of anti-Semitism, in both the West and in the Muslim world, is undeniable. A foreign policy which plays to that growth, which treats Israel as the greatest threat to world peace, is either cowardly or despicable or both.

I sometimes wonder if names are not a big part of the problem. We read that Israel was named only on the eve of partition, and that Samaria was an alternative possibility. Perhaps they should have been more direct and called themselves Jewland. Then at least we would be spared the piety of liberals claiming “I may be anti-Israel, but that doesn’t make me a Jew hater.”

The Christian right is not anti-semitic. That is a myth. Religious Christians revere Jews as spiritual ancestors. African-Americans actually consistently poll as the most anti-semitic group in the US. Americans are generally not anti-semitic. Charles Krauthammer put it, “America is the most welcoming, religiously tolerant, philo-Semitic country in the world. No nation since Cyrus the Great’s Persia has done more for the Jews.” I felt like this article credited Jews with making America great. I think they contribute to America’s greatness, but they are not solely responsible for America’s greatness. I don’t know whether I can even say that and emerge unscathed by an accusation of anti-semitism, but, you know what, I’m tired. And the stakes are too high. Now is a time for calmness and a time for honesty. I do not understand why American Jews overwhelmingly backed Obama, except that I think they must not care about Israel. But Rahm Emanuel’s is from Israel, it’s hard to imagine that he doesn’t care about Israel. I do not undertand it. Maybe if Mr. Ledeen or another Pajamas writer who might know something about it could address this issue? I seriously do not get it. It seems like American evangelicals are more into Israel than American Jews.

Ehud Barak just ousted Lubrani, the top most Iran expert and a prime proponent of regime change in Iran. And as a result, Persian programming of Radio Israel is now also in jeopardy.

Looks like Israel now has its equivalent of our very own Bob mullah-ass kisser Gates.

The stench of appeasement of, and legimitization for the Iranian regime now extends from Washington,DC all the way to Jerusalem.

With enemies like Ehud Barak and Bob ‘yellow’ Gates paving the road for the man-eating mullah regime, Tehran really does not need any friends.
