Booze Back in Baghdad

Good news, obviously, this time from the LA Times (no doubt grateful) guy in the big city.
Probably enough to make the Supreme Leader, across the border, gnash his teeth. In his house, opium is reportedly the narcotic of choice.

Well, it is going to take more than opium (or booze) to keep the “Supreme Leader” (SL) from his regime’s ultimate doom, I am afraid.
(What’s more, Iranians have always had access to booze in the black market, and by secretly making wine and beer in their basements.)
But, let’s just hope that, before it’s too late, we actually DO something serious to prevent the regime from morphing into its old version in order to survive, i.e., the Euro-mullahs like Khatami and Rafsanjani are waiting in the wings to get another chance to fall into the gap, and again head the same old “Grand Bargain”-friendly version of the Theocracy of Turds of Tehran. Then, it will be an Iranian regime like in the Clinton years.
And if, God Forbid, we get a Dem in the White House in ’09, it will be Déjà vu all over again on Iran. Except that this time the bargain will be made.
Lack of serious action by us to change the mullahs regime so far speaks volumes not only to the “SL”, but to the whole Islamist-Fascist organizations worldwide. In fact, our apparent paralysis and weakness in their eyes speaks much louder than any occasional bouts of hollow rhetoric against Tehran emanating out of Washington every now and then.
