Is "Dereliction of Duty: Johnson, McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Lies That Led to Vietnam" by H. R. McMaster on the list? If it's not, the list is very lacking. If any book by Petraeus is on the list, the list is corrupt.

For the Mexican War, I would add Justin Smith's The War with Mexico. Its the most thorough, balanced history of the war in English. And it shows how the USA was justified in going to war with Mexico.
