The senator, as he’s called in shorthand, not only displayed a fondness for baby carrots way too early in the morning but for stuffed animals, namely the seasonal plush for dogs next to the registers at PetSmart. And what more perfect toy for the piggie majority leader than a stuffed elephant, seen here in his hobo bag, ready to travel?

Oh gosh, those are adorable guinea pigs!
If only their namesakes were as cuddly!
Long-time guinea pig owner here, so I have lots of free advice to give. If you have a tiled floor, and from the photos it looks like you do, I’d suggest letting them roam around that floor for about a half-hour per day. This serves the dual purpose of wearing their nails down so you won’t need to trim them as often and providing daily exercise to keep them healthy.
How cute, thanks for sharing.
WHEEEEEEEEK!
Wow, they’re red-eyed monsters, just like their namesakes! Sorry, couldn’t resist.
They are cute little guys.
I would vote for them if they ran for office.
Can we, by some subterfuge, enter their names on all those absentee ballots that got Reid reelected? I’d be fine with that. Animals know much that democrats will never understand.
For example, Debbie Wassman-Schultz vs. a gnat. Who’s smarter?
Easy. The gnat. Its brain is larger than its eyes!
– poop in the corners (keeps ‘em sleek), gnaw on the furniture. CHERRY TOMATOES are like CATNIP to them!!!! Put him on his back, rub his tummy, and he will trance for an hour.
I think Le Cracquere sums it up nicely….we can’t have too many more WHEEKS with these clowns in office.
P.S. I have two abbys
GPDD Wheeks to you, sir!
Too Funny!
(I once had a Cat, whose affectionate name was, “Yassir AraCat”)
Heh. I drew up a cartoon back in the day where the Israelis were negotiating with “Nosir Arafat”.
If I were to get an Akita, I’d be tempted to name it “Kruschev” as in “Akita Kruschev”.
Had some as a kid, a nice red one named Fidel as the red rat, and made the mistake of getting a female as a companion, which resulted in a lot of little piglets, until mom got wore out. they are nice enough little pets, natural tribbles, used to let them out to run around the enclosed garden, watching to see what they liked to eat, unexpectedly including green palm leaves (when one such should fall, as the piglets weren’t going to climb to get them otherwise!)
of course they are just rodents, and actually have minimal personality, and I never did try to prove out the rumor that they are also good eatin’. I suppose they’d have a role in a subsistence economy, turning lawn clippings into slippers and tacos while keeping the kids occupied.
