I'm not sure all your readers are getting the Lincoln paraphrase (about Grant: "I like him. He fights.") Keep it up! I like her too. Maybe Fiorina can call out other Dems, and the Dem media, for liking those who tell lies, too. i wish she would get in the habit of having all her interviews fully video recorded and available from her own campaign site. (Whether from Canada or, hey, wherever.)

I genuinely like the woman, but like Ben Carson, this is a person with expertise in areas other than politics. This is the most important political job on the planet. We cannot afford an ingenue in this position with so big a mess to clean up. She is unacceptable for the same reason that Romney was. Good at one thing doesn't mean you are good at another. It'll be nice to see her in the debates though. And I'd pay good money to see her square off with Hillary. Hell, I'd pay good money to see anyone question Hillary in any serious way. Hasn't happened so far.

The trolling of Seth Myers is priceless. Why NBC ever hired that smug little twerp is a mystery. Or maybe not, they're the Network of Brian Williams (NBW?).

Seth Myers was the very image of John Kerry during the 2004 campaign. When GW Bush won re-election, the only one who lost more than Kerry himself did was Seth Myers.

Succinct version of Carly's helmsman-ship of HP: - took over in 1999 with share price of 45.36, left in 2005 with shares at 20.14 - acquisition of Compaq, consumed at great expense, to no benefit for either - subsequent massive layoffs

Here she is with Chris Wallace a month ago. This is where & when she caught my attention, i realize now that i've combed the youtubes. Her defense of her HP record is pretty straightforward --but do see for yourself.

I would be happier if she had a bit more experience in elective office. It's not as though she steered an alliance to victory as CinC. Very few Presidents get the preparation President Eisenhower had.
Maybe she did learn some things through her time in the barrel as CEO of HP and running her failed campaign for the Senate.
+1 for the Seth Meyers thing!

So I ask myself...do I really think that we Republicans should nominate someone who lost her Senate race in California? Then I ask myself...wouldn't that be better than nominating a Republican that WON their Governor's race in Massachusetts?

Y'all can have your crushes on Carly, however 4 reasons she lost in Cali against Boxer.
1. She is a CEO, with a controversial record. People are envious of, and resent CEO's. See Romney. 2. She is an amateur politican who was exposed as such during the campaign. 3. She had no historical involvement in the political process. You can't appear out of the weeds, like Ben Carson and have much credibility. 4. She's a Republican, only approved Dem apparatchiks win in Cali.

And a lot of Republicans undermined her campaign while it was in progress. Whole lot of "She's too out of touch" and "She can't win so why are we bothering?". I don't think that's happening in Maven's post, but this sort of knee-jerk negativism is happening again already throughout the 'net. People who say they want to win in '16 are talking us out of good candidates, possibly because they've already got their hearts set on someone else. I figure if she gets good traction, the R beltway people will get out the pillows to smother her candidacy in its infancy.
