This is another case of using a philosophical device incorrectly; that since everyone experiences an event differently, each person has their own "truth" and therefore "truth" and "reality" are subjective. Basically, if no-one was around to hear it, the tree never fell.

On the side of objective truth, we have these little things called "Physics" and "Chemistry," their parents "Logic" and "Mathematics," and their cousin "Engineering." Together, this little family has accomplished unimaginable progress while the philosophers were examining one another's navel lint.

As for the sciences, they, too, are morphing into subjectivism. See Quantum physics/mechanics. Physics is the base of the others you mention, so it will be corrupted, must be corrupted, first.

As for Rand, see her solution to Universals, which error by Aristotle in part led to the Platonists' resurgence.

I get the impression that a lot of black Americans, if on a jury, would refuse to convict a black murderer even if there were video showing the killer yelling "I like to kill white people" before he started shooting the little children.

Your impression is unfortunately pretty close to the truth. Even some black conservatives believe every death of a black person during the commission of a crime is due to profiling and racism. Sad, really.
