ENOUGH, ALREADY: 11-year-old boy convinced NFL to use pink penalty flags this week.

Fighting breast cancer is certainly a noble cause, and I’m thrilled that the NFL is raising millions. (The NFL being onboard with such a health-related cause also helps to deflect a modicum of attention away from the league’s concussion issue, a topic that’s the current obsession of sportswriters.) But am I the only one who dreads watching a month’s worth of pink sneakers, and now pink penalty flags every October?

UPDATE: Pink Jumps the Shark — plus an alternative health campaign for the NFL to champion.
