The personal computer is a commodity product. There was a time when I was somewhat knowledgeable concerning a computer specs. It was necessary if one desired to purchase a computer adequate to the required tasks. No longer. Most people can now buy the least expensive computer sold by WalMart—and not worry about a thing. This is also likely what is causing Dell so much grief. Who in hell needs to get a special order computer? That must be a rare individual. My family has bought three Apple computers in the last twelve years. We will probably buy another computer in roughly the next year and a half. Will we buy an Apple? I have serious doubts.

Apple is Lexus. PC’s are Chevy’s. Is one better than another, relative to their price points? Depends on who you are and what your budget is.
