“How dare a white American suggest that I’m playing a so called Race Card when they have played the a race card for 400 years!!!”
. . .
Whites must all look the same age to you – somewhere around 450 years old.
Sometimes it SEEMS like it’s been 450 years so far, with no end in sight, but, truthfully, most of us aren’t anywhere near that old yet. In fact, almost all of the people who are still around from that long ago are dead, so there’s not even any point in asking them what the hell they were thinking back then.
Want to tell me how AA and bussing and minority-targeted mortgage support are still good, needed things in our society? Go right ahead – yeah, it’s race-based, but it’s not racist – race can be a topic of discussion – there’s no “card” involved.
But, want to tell me about how my desire that my country’s current Federal Government administration stop writing checks when we’re bouncing last week’s checks proves – prima facie – that I am racist, that I am a racist, and that my voice and view may – indeed, should – be set aside and ignored because I am only worthless racist scum? That’s what we mean by “playing the race card.”
