The unmitigated blindness of these fools continues to leave me speechless. (and I even liked Baldwin’s Hulu ads.)

Circa 2005: “To John Kerry (and supporters). You need to keep quiet. You lost and more importantly you are to blame for your loss. You ran a lousy campaign. In terms of message, logistics, ideas. Now you can’t seem to shut up about the war you want to lose, obviously. Another rich Democratic socialist spending everyones money but his own. You gotta shut up, John Kerry and Co. We can never go back to the tired narcisstic Sixties-Age ideas that the likes of you and Reid and Moore are trying to force down our throats.”

Can Baldwin be so utterly and stupidly blind to not see how few words I had to replace there? It’s the SAME schtick, and the heart of it is identical: “You lost, so you have no moral right to your positions.”

Yeah, that woulda gone over really well in 2005.

As an aside, I saw an utterly brilliant idea: When can we start asking Baldwin et al if they are willing to have their salaries restricted to $500,000 grand a year? After all, the coprorate execs so limited will in fact do far more to help the lives of average Americans in that year than Baldwin and DeCaprio and Whoopie and Rosie will do in their lifetime of… um… entertaining people.

Ask them this. $100 bucks says if you asked ten of them, nine would not only not agree with the idea, but would storm out of the interview, enraged at the temerity of the questioner to ask such a thing. They would react just like….. 19th century royals would to the uppity common folk.

$100 says that is exactly what would happen. You watch. (But no one will have the balls to ask them. A huge part of the problem.)
