johnt,
-I must have got to ya…..sorry you can’t argue without being overcome with anger. Anger is a hallmark of irrationality. All that I could ascertain from your post is you might be a NYC resident and you are livid about this guy who wants to build a mosque at that particular location. Again, how far away does he need to go? I asked this once, and you made some kind of a joke about me asking that question in all earnestness.
If you are a NYC resident, then tell me why this tract of land chosen for The Cordoba House isn’t suitable? My point being, from a purely legal standpoint, that mosque has as much right as any other house of worship.

“As to your snide comment on Shrines, try putting a mosque on the USS Arizona or on the field at Gettysburg. Struggle, you will get the point. The 9/11 site is similar”
-Is it? I would think that at both places, The U.S.S. Arizona Memorial and the Gettysburg National Historic Park has zoning issues that would preclude ANY type of house of worship. I’d ask previously about zoning issues related to The Cordoba House’s location; specifically if there were any other houses of worship in that same zoned area. Your reply was an oblique answer about “….good enough grounds for the Mayors handpicked Landmark Comm. to kill the deal.” -So why hasn’t the “deal” been killed?
“…..Yes, there was a law….” -Key word here john is WAS. My point exactly. That they do not now have an official religion is due to the U.S. Constitution.
“So, how many Christians died on 9/11?”
-I have no idea. How many atheist, or Jews, or even Muslims died on 9/11? It doesn’t matter to the discussion about building The Cordoba House. 9/11 was an act carried out by some terrorists who were in fact Muslims.
JESUS KILLED MOHAMMED -This was an epithet painted in arabic on a Bradely fighting vehicle at an outpost in Iraq.

Is the war in Iraq a “Christian” war against Muslims? That incident is used by terrorist organizations for recruitment, no doubt. Would I characterize the wars we now wage as “Christianity seeking to destroy Islam? No.
Again, get over your anger and think rationally. Perhaps you could provide me with a rational explanation why The Cordoba House cannot be built.
