New Yorkers, Tea Party activists, and Republican activists should immediately write a bill declaring Ground Zero a National Historic Battlefield.

National Historic Battlefields can be designated with varying zones of influence of specified effects, one of which could include “offense to the survivors.”

Religious facilities could be put in the same category of relative undesirability as a porn store, with previously existing religious facilities being grandfathered in, including replacement of those destroyed in the attack such as the Episcopal church.

That sort of clause is secularly neutral on its face but just happens to exclude Muslim mosques.

A similar “offense to the survivors” clause could be used to as a hiring screen to keep the leftist power that be from simply appointing Islamists and anti-Israel loons to the “9/11 National Battleground Commission.” This can be done by defining publicly expressed views of anti-semitism by any member of the “9/11 National Battlefield Commission “offense to the survivors” and immediately disqualifying of further employment.

Think in terms of the following questions:

“Have you now, or have you ever been, a member, a funds contributor, officer, or represented a terrorist organization?

“Have you now, or have you ever been, a member, a funds contributor, officer, or represented a that calls for the Destruction of the state of Israel??

“Have you now, or have you ever been, a member, a funds contributor, officer, or represented a organization that has publicly declared that Zionism is Racism?”

You get the idea.

Then you go to Jihadwatch to get a list of disqualifying anti-semetic organizations, memberships and associations to write into this legislation.

Having prolonged public fights over that part of the legislation would be an extremely useful “Teachable moment” with the current Presidential Administration.
